Spinning Out Of Control

KERO: I'm Kero, Guardian of the Clow Cards. It was my job to keep all the Clow Cards in the book, but I took one little nap. And the next thing I knew, BOOM! All the Cards were blown away. That's when I made Sakura a CardCaptor. I know I look kinda cute like this, but you should see me in my true form as Keroberos. I'm really cool looking! Don't you agree? Now that the Clow Cards have been captured and Sakura has been named their master, she must use the new staff to call upon the magic of her inner star and change all the cards into Star Cards. Why not transform all the Clow Cards at once, you ask? Changing a card without a specific task can confuse it, putting it in danger. As Guardian Beast, it is my duty to protect not only the Clow Cards but their master, Sakura.

[Sakura, dreaming.]

SAKURA: What was that? Where am I? Huh? Ah! (wakes up) Oh, oh, oh! The dream again.

[At Eli's house. Eli's sewing and Spinner is nearby.]

SPINNER: What are you making? Is that a costume for the bazaar?
ELI: That's right.

[Ruby comes in.]

RUBY: Hi, everyone. So, what's going on with you?
ELI: Hi, Ruby.
SPINNER: Where have you been?
RUBY: What's the matter? Did you miss me, Spinny?
SPINNER: My name is Spinner, not Spinny.
RUBY: Yeah, I know, but Spinny sounds much cuter.
ELI: The school is holding a bazaar tomorrow and you really should come.
RUBY: What for?
ELI: There's going to be a huge bake sale and we'll be able to keep a close eye on them, Ruby.
RUBY: Sounds great. Yeah, count me in. Spinny, baby, we should go together.
SPINNER: Mmm-mmm
RUBY: Why not?
SPINNER: I've got better things to do than eat treats.
ELI: *laughs*
RUBY: If I'm going, so is he.
SPINNER: There's a good chance that Keroberos will be nearby. He'll sense me.
ELI: *laughs* Don't worry. I'll take care of that. A simple spell is all that's needed to hide your true identity. Even from Keroberos. Go easy on the sweets.
SPINNER: *laughs*
RUBY: Huh?
ELI: *laughs*

[At the school bazaar, Sakura takes some treats to a customer.]

SAKURA: Two cupcakes and a lemonade.
CUSTOMER: Smells great.

[Madison comes up to Sakura.]

MADISON: Oh, it's bad enough we have to work all day. Can you believe we've got to wear these awful outfits, too?
SAKURA: Huh?
MADISON: At least the guys also have to wear them.
SAKURA: Yeah. You don't see Kero, do you? I made him promise to stay behind the school.
MADISON: How did you manage that with all these delicious treats here?
SAKURA: I had to take him a whole basket of deserts.

[Behind the school, Kero's surrounded by empty wrappers and is working his way through another treat.]

KERO: This is the best day of my entire life!

[Back at the bazaar, Sakura enters the kitchen where Eli and Li are working.]

SAKURA: Huh?
ELI: One, two...
SAKURA: Two more orders of cupcakes, please.
ELI: Coming right up. They really seen to me plowing through those deserts out there, aren't they, Sakura?
SAKURA: Sure are.

[Li's not too happy when Sakura walks by him.]

LI: Huh?
SAKURA: Huh? What is it?
LI: No, it's nothing.
SAKURA: Oh.

[Sakura leaves the kitchen and heads towards the tables.]

SAKURA: (thinking) Li was sure acting strange.

[She stops at one of the tables where Julian and Tori are sitting.]

SAKURA: Two more orders of... oh! Julian. (to Tori) What are you doing here?
JULIAN: Well, we're here for the cookies.
SAKURA: Homemade.
TORI: Hey, make sure you know who made them first, okay?
JULIAN: So, what did you make for the bake sale?
SAKURA: Huh? Ginger snaps. I'll go get you some to try.

[Sakura leaves and Tori suddenly looks towards the entrance to the kitchen, sensing something.]

TORI: Hmm. Huh?
JULIAN: What are you looking at? Hey, what is it?
TORI: Uh, nothing. Just thought I... never mind.

[In the kitchen, Eli is looking at the door.]

ELI: It seems like Tori has sensed my presence. I'll have to be more careful. His powers are growing stronger.

[Behind the school, Kero continues to eat.]

KERO: Chocolate brownies! Oh, my favorite!

[Kero eats the brownie, when he hears a noise.]

KERO: Oh-oh. Someone's coming. Okay. Ow!

[Kero hides in the food basket, but accidently closes the lid on his tail. Pulling it in, he closes the lid. Nearby, Ruby and Spinner are walking towards him.]

RUBY: Are you absolutely sure you don't want any treats, Spinny, baby? I really don't mind bringing you some.
SPINNER: I"m sure.
RUBY: Okay, but you don't know what you're missing. I'm going to try one of everything!
SPINNER: Knock yourself out.
RUBY: Okay, see you later. I'll be back to pick you up when it's all over, okay?

[Ruby leaves and Spinner is left alone.]

SPINNER: Peace.

[Kero peeks out of the basket.]

SPINNER: Now to find a nice quiet place for a nap without any annoying disturbances.

[Kero pushes the lid of the basket up.]

KERO: That was so close. Now, back to pigging out!

[When Kero turns, he comes face to face with Spinner.]

SPINNER: (thinking) Keroberos.
KERO: What the...?
SPINNER: (thinking) This is no good. If he recognizes me in this form he might connect me with Eli.
KERO: You look like... You must be...
SPINNER: (thinking) Looks like we're about to put Eli's spell to the test. If the spell works, my true identity will remain a secret.
KERO: Oh, I get it! You're a battery operated stuffed toy!
SPINNER: I most certainly am not!
KERO: That's amazing. I didn't know they made ones that could talk. Well, hang on a second, that shape of yours. Huh? You remind me of someone. That huge head, those wings, that tail. Of course! I know now!
SPINNER: (thinking) He's figured it out!
KERO: You're a goblin!
SPINNER: (thinking) You've got to be kidding me. He has no idea who I am.
KERO: You're a goblin, aren't you? I knew it. I can't believe my luck! I'm Keroberos, but you can call me Kero. I'm really a Guardian Beast, you know, this is really just a temporary look for me. You should see me in my true form. I'm much taller than I am now. *laughs*
SPINNER: (thinking) I can't believe that this yappy little creature is supposed to be the great Guardian Beast of the Seal. He really doesn't sense anything from me. Look's like Eli's spell is working like a charm. I'll just play along with him, for now.
KERO: So, anyway, what's your name?
SPINNER: My name? (thinking) Maybe if I tell him, he'll leave me in peace. (out loud) It's Spinner.
KERO: Spinner? Oh, that's the weirdest name I've ever heard. *laughs* Spinner. *laughs. Spinner *laughs* Well, Spinner, it's nice to meet you.
SPINNER: (thinking) Likewise, I'm sure.
KERO: Uh, what's the matter?
SPINNER: Nothing! (thinking) I suppose it's better to be friends with him than have him be suspicious. Keroberos is no match for me. Eli will be pleased.
KERO: I've got an idea!
SPINNER: Huh?
KERO: We can pig-out on deserts together.
SPINNER: Sweets?!
KERO: No need to be shy. They are all ours.
SPINNER: I'm not supposed to eat too many sweets.
KERO: Ah, come on. Dig in.

[Kero pushes a treat into Spinner's mouth.]

KERO: Now, what else would you like?

[Spinner site there with the treat half way in his mouth, sweating. Kero returns with an arm load of goodies.]

KERO: Oh, you're still working on that one. Here's one!

[Kero starts stuffing treats into Spinner's mouth one after the other.]

KERO: Here's one. Here. Eat. Eat. Come on. Yeah. That one, and this one. Oh, yeah. This stuff. Eat up.

[Spinner gets a weird look on his face and starts laughing.]

KERO: Oh, you sure can pack them away. *laughs* What's I tell you? Delicious, huh? *laughs*

[Spinner continues to act crazily happy.]

KERO: What's the matter with you? Are you feeling okay?
SPINNER: I want to eat more! I want to eat more!
KERO: Uh, say what?
SPINNER: *laughs* I wanna eat more! *laughs* I wanna eat more! *laughs* More, more, more, more, more, more, more, more!
KERO: But, Spinner, we're all out.
SPINNER: No problem at all.

[Spinner flies away.]

KERO: Hey, where are you going?
SPINNER: *laughs*
KERO: Oh-oh.

[Back at the bazaar, Ruby has joined Julian and Tori at their table and is hanging onto Tori.]

RUBY: Isn't it nice that we're all here together?
TORI: Uh, yeah. Right.
RUBY: Oh, come on. I know you like it deep down.

[Sakura comes up to the table.]

SAKURA: Hey, do you want some more cookies?
JULIAN: I'd love some.
RUBY: Me, too, please.
SAKURA: Sure.

[In the kitchen, Eli sees Spinner fly by.]

ELI: Hey, Spinner.

[Spinner flies up above the bazaar.]

SPINNER: More sweets. Must have sweets! Sweets, sweets! Ah!

[Two students below are selling treats to some customers.]

GIRL 1: Thank you very much. Enjoy!

[Spinner, notices and flies behind them where boxes of treats sitting.]

SPINNER: There's some. Don't mind if I do.

[Spinner eats the contents of the boxes, then flies away to another stand.]

SPINNER: More, more!

[Kero comes on to the first tent and sees the empty boxes.]

KERO: Oh, that brat ate all these candies!
GIRL 1: We'd better go grab some more, then.
GIRL 2: Sure, good idea.
KERO: Oh!

[Kero flies away as the girls look into the boxes.]

GIRL 1: Look, they're all gone!
GIRL 2: But these boxes were just full!

[Up in the air, Kero continues to look for Spinner as a commotion goes on below from several stands.]

KERO: Where did that Spinner go?
GIRL 3: Hey, all the muffins are gone!
GIRL 4: We had two batches of them sitting right here.
CUSTOMER 2: Did you see that cookie I just bought?
KERO: Oh, somehow this is all going to be my fault. I just know it.

[Spinner flies down the school hallway.]

SPINNER: *laughs* I just love deserts so much! There must be some more around here somewhere.

[He flies into a classroom where there are boxes of goodies.]

SPINNER: Jackpot! I've found the mother load!

[Spinner starts to eat as Kero enters the room.]

KERO: Ah, ha! Spinner!
SPINNER: *chewing*
KERO: Ah, I've been looking all over for you.

[Spinner holds out a treat to Kero.]

SPINNER: Want some?
KERO: Hmm? Don't mind if I do.

[Kero takes the treat and suddenly drops it.]

KERO: Hey, wait a minute, what am I doing?! You put that right down and listen! I wanna know where you came from and what you're doing here. You're going to get us both in trouble. Ah! Hey! We have got to get out of here before someone comes in.

[Outside the classroom, a female teacher is talking to a male teacher.]

FEMALE TEACHER: I think the rest of the food is in here.

[She starts to open the door.]

KERO: Oh-oh.
SPINNER: Want snacks!

[Kero grabs onto Spinner, who flies into the air and towards the door with Kero in tow.]

KERO: Ah! Oh, ah! Oh! *crying*

[They fly out of the door, right past the startled teacher.]

FEMALE TEACHER: Did you see two flying cats?

[Outside, above the bazaar.]

SPINNER: You don't know who you're messing with!

[Spinner sends a blast at Kero, who dodges it.]

KERO: He's out of control. He's going to ruin the whole bazaar. Hey, I know!

[Inside the school, Sakura and Madison have stopped above some stairs.]

SAKURA: What's going on?

[Kero comes flying up.]

KERO: We've got trouble!
SAKURA: Ah!
KERO: Trouble. Big trouble!
SAKURA: I knew I shouldn't of let you come here.
KERO: Would you just listen to me? You gotta use the Sleep Card now!
SAKURA: Sleep?
KERO: Yeah, you gotta put everyone to sleep now!
SAKURA: What for?
KERO: There's no time for discussion! just do it!
SAKURA: If you say so.

[Sakura pulls out her Star Ward and the Sleep Card.]

SAKURA: I call upon the power of my star! Ancient forces near and far! Sleep Card, transform all your might and draw your power from my light! Star Card!

[The Sleep spirit flies out and over the bazaar, putting everyone to sleep.]

KERO: All right! Yeah!

[Kero flies away.]

SAKURA: Come back here, Kero!

[Outside, Kero finds Spinner under a table, eating.]

SPINNER: Very yummy!
KERO: Oh-oh.
SPINNER: Get me some more sweets!

[Spinner blasts Kero again, who misses it.]

KERO: I've no choice!

[Kero quickly transforms into Keroberos.]

SPINNER: Back for more?
KEROBEROS: I've had about enough of this! (thinking) This creature is more than just some creepy goblin. The Sleep Card didn't have any effect on him. But if he does have magical powers, why can't I sense anything?

[Keroberos blasts Spinner, who flies up and away. Sakura and Madison run up to Keroberos.]

SAKURA: Keroberos!
KEROBEROS: It's all right. He's gone.
SAKURA: It was you, wasn't it? You're the one who ate all the deserts.
KEROBEROS: It wasn't me. It was Spinner.
SAKURA: What's a Spinner?
KEROBEROS: If you just hang on, I'll show you.

[Keroberos leans over and starts drawing in the dirt.]

KEROBEROS: He's got wings like this, cat's eyes like this, and his head is big and round. That's him! That's the guy who did it.

[Sakura looks over and sees the picture of Spinner.]

SAKURA: That looks like... Kero!
KEROBEROS: Oh!
KERO: I'm telling you it was not me!
SAKURA: You promised you'd be nice and quiet if I brought you and look what you've done!
KERO: But, I did not do it!
SAKURA: You should at least say you're sorry, you know.
KERO: I'm innocent! I swear! *crying* It wasn't my fault. Nobody believes me! What a disaster! Wait until I get my hands on that Spinner. *crying* I need a hug!

[Above them, looking down, Eli holds a happy and content Spinner.]

ELI: I warned you, Spinner. Sweets and spells don't mix.
SPINNER: *yawns*
ELI: You almost completely blew our cover today. We're going to have to watch our steps from now on.

KERO: Hey, CardCaptor fans! I'm Kero, the Guardian Beast, and this is Secrets of the Clow! Today we'll look at the Sleep Card. Sleep is a mischievous spirit who can make anyone it comes across fall asleep instantly. And it comes in handy when Sakura needs to use her magic without anyone seeing.
